Lucis Pro 6 Product Return Policy
Please read this document carefully before installing the
Lucis Pro 6 software product ("Lucis Pro"). The Product Return and Refund Policy that is set forth below (this "Policy")
describes the conditions under which Image Content Technology LLC ("ICT", "we"
and "us") will accept product returns and/or refund your money. As used in this
Policy, "you" are an individual acting on your own behalf, or "you" are an agent
of a person or entity that has authorized you to act on that person's or
entity's behalf. We reserve the right to change this Policy without notifying
you in advance.
1. Product Return Period
ICT will accept the return of any Lucis Pro 6 software product purchased directly from ICT not more than 30 days after shipping.
2. Product Return Procedure
To qualify for the return of Lucis Pro 6, return the entire Lucis Pro software package (the Quick Start Guide, DVD, and dongle or dongles) to ICT within 30 days of purchase in excellent condition. If a customer has lost a dongle and/or bought a replacement dongle then the Lucis Pro software product cannot be returned. The customer is responsible for return shipping and customs fees.

The product must be returned in good condition or additional restocking fees apply. These fees are: $60 for a broken dongle and $5 for a damaged DVD. ICT will notify you if restocking fees apply. If you return a Lucis Pro software product within the applicable period,
ICT will refund you the purchase price you paid for the ICT Product returned, in
the same form that payment was received (i.e., by a credit to your credit card
account, if you paid by credit card), less any applicable restocking fees. ICT will not refund the costs of shipping
and handling unless ICT determines that the reason for the return is due to an
error on ICT's part. Products purchased from another source must be returned to
the source from which they were purchased and are subject to the return policies
of that source.
3. Lost or Broken Lucis Pro 6.0 dongles:
Please note that dongles are like small memory sticks. Dongles are very robust.
For sales to the US and Canada: during the 30-day Product Return Period any nonfunctioning dongle will be replaced regardless of the cause. The broken dongle must be returned to ICT at your expense and a new dongle will be shipped to you at ICT's expense.
For sales to countries other than the US and Canada: during the 30-day Product return Period any nonfunctioning dongle will be replaced regardless of the cause. The broken dongle must be returned to ICT at your expense and a new dongle will be shipped to you but you must pay for any shipping and customs expense.
For two years after the Product Return Period has expired or for as long as Lucis Pro 6.0 is being sold (whichever is longer) a broken dongle may be replaced if 1) the customer returns the broken dongle to ICT and 2) the customer pays $100 plus any shipping and customs expense. During this same timeframe one lost dongle may be replaced by contacting ICT and paying ICT $250 plus any shipping and customs expense, and only one dongle per order may be purchased. The price of replacing a lost or broken dongle is subject to change without notice.
4. Changing computer operating systems: Starting in October 6, 2009, the Lucis Pro dongle was changed to one that handles both Windows and Macintosh. These dongles are black. For earlier Lucis Pro 6 sales with the beige dongle, a Macintosh or Windows dongle may be exchanged for a Universal dongle and the latest software for $110 US plus shipping and customs charges provided that the original beige dongle is returned to ICT first at the customer's expense. The cost for converting two beige dongles to Universal dongles is $170 plus shipping and two beige dongles must be returned. If the customer only ordered one beige dongle and now wishes to exchange the beige dongle for a Universal dongle and buy a second Universal dongle the cost is $170 plus shipping and any customs charges and one beige dongle must be returned. Macintosh customers with beige dongles will be able to get Universal dongles and a Lucis DVD with both the 32-bit Macintosh and 32-bit and 64-bit Windows software on it. 5. Ordering a second dongle after the initial software order:
For sales to the US and Canada: Each copy of the software comes with one dongle. There is an option to purchase a second dongle at the time of purchase. If a customer does not buy a second dongle at the time of purchases he or she may purchase a second dongle later for $100 plus any shipping and customs charges. If the dongle fails during the first 30 days and it is not due to user misuse or user-caused damage then it will be replaced at no charge. The dongle must be returned at the customer's expense. Second dongles may not be returned for a refund.
Please contact ICT to order a second dongle. Orders are placed manually.
For sales to countries other than the US and Canada: Not applicable. It is required that you purchase a second dongle.
Possessing a second dongle is not a license for a second person to use Lucis Pro 6.0. The second dongle is for convenience only. Please see the Lucis Pro end-user license for more information.
