Underwater Photography Example 3

This is an underwater image taken with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 camera. Underwater images are a challenge because of the way the water diminishes and disperses the light. This image is dark.

When Split Channel mode is selected the image looks much better immediately because the Lucis processing contrast stretches the channels to use the full 255 intensity levels. Further adjusting the Enhance Detail slider brings out image detail. Adjusting the Enhance Detail slider the same amount for each Channel works with this image because the range of contrast was similar in each channel.
